Roaming is the behavior of end device to move between different access points within the same network without losing connection. This can happen in traditional networks as well as in Mesh networks. Therefore, your devices that don't support Mesh function can still deliver roaming environment for end devices.
The key requirement for seamless roaming is that the APs have overlapping coverage and consistent network settings.
