There are some rare situations that captive portal won't pop out automatically. You may try the following steps:
In some uncommon cases, the captive portal may not appear automatically. To address this, consider these steps:
- Set the client's DNS server to 8.8.8.8.
- Experiment with different web browsers, such as Chrome, Firefox, or Safari.
- Ensure the custom captive portal logo is within the size limits: no larger than 244x190 pixels and 200Kbps. Oversized images in PNG, JPEG, or GIF formats can prevent some handheld devices from automatically displaying the portal.
- On certain iOS devices, visit to trigger portal redirect.
