In signal, channel utilization stable environment, Auto (high band preferred) in smart mesh works smooth. But if frequent reconnections in 'Auto' mode, it can be disruptive in unstable environments.
In 'Auto (high band preferred)' mode, the mesh network frequently evaluates the connection quality. If it detects a degraded connection on the current band, it attempts to switch to a better band. This search for an optimal link can cause temporary disconnects, particularly in environments where the 5GHz channel utilization is inconsistent or where the network occasionally switches to 2.4GHz due to signal issues.
