Why does my AP automatically switch channels despite being set to a fixed channel?

Both APs in the mesh network should operating on the same channel to maintain a mesh connection. When APs are part of a smart mesh network, they might automatically switch channels to build up mesh connection and APs will not revert to user-defined channels.

If fixed channel selection leads to suboptimal performance due to interference, consider setting a fixed channel that is less congested, while keeping an eye on the network's performance.
