NAS 542 "Power Disable Feature"

I bought some larger drives and they have a pin 3 'power disable feature'. It means the drive won't spin up, OR with a jumper cable OR with a tape mod on Pin 3, it will work. Or it will work perfectly depending on if pin 3 is powered on the connector Anyone know if the 542 supports power disable or is the a backplane connector diagram? TIA

Nas 542 has a power scheduling feature for the NAS itself, but as I know no feature for the hard drive.

Update: I applied Kapton tape over pins 1-3 and the drives are working perfectly. This is inconvenient, but the drives are enterprise grade.
