Smart Steering helps clients connect to an AP with a better signal when their current signal becomes weak.
However, there are situations where Smart Steering should be disabled:
- Only One AP: If there is only one AP, Smart Steering is unnecessary.
- APs very far apart: If APs are placed so far apart that their coverage areas do not overlap, Smart Steering should be disabled.
Path to configure Smart Steering:
Site-wide > Configure > Access points > Radio setting
