If decrease the WLAN rate control:
- Increase the time for AP to transmit management and control frames
- Improves accessibility of clients using older hardware that doesn’t support higher WLAN rate
If increase the WLAN rate control:
- Shortens the time for AP to transmit management and control frames
- Lessens accessibility of clients using older hardware that does not support this higher WLAN Rate
The path to configure WLAN rate control: Site-wide > Configure > Access points > Radio setting
