All my issues fixed by switching my Access points to Ruckus APs.

I've used the APs for a month now and it resolved all my issues. Today I switched back to the NWA130BE's and I'm still having the issue again! I thought thru research I found the issue (Idle Timeout which I adjusted from 300seconds to 30,000 seconds and that didn't fix it). I'm now trying the Group Key Update Timer from 30,000sec to normal default of 3600 seconds.

I really wish this would get resolved.

I found a bandaid, I disabled 802.11k and 802.11v and so far my problem device have been maintaining their connection for 24hrs.

Are you guys interesting in fixing this? I have created a ticket today for this.

I want to make this work but the slowness to respond and really the want to fix this seems to be lacking.

The initial reaction always feels like its not a Zyxel issue.

    Hi @jpblanch75

Since there was a gap from 2024 to 2025, we took a while to get the whole picture.

According to your recent update, I disabled 802.11k and 802.11v and so far my problem device have been maintaining their connection for 24hrs, it seems like your IoT devices use the old WiFi generation and can't read specific flag or support specific function.

It is recommended to create an SSID that use:

    • 802.11 mode: 802.11 n
    • Band mode: 2.4G
    • Security option: WPA2 personal
    • Disable 802.11k, 802.11v, 802.11r, and other advanced settings.

    Hope this helps.

It NOT just IoT device. My Cell phones have a similar issue.

How about looking into the problem instead of offering nonsense. I DID NOT have to disable these when using Access Networks A550 Access Points.

    Hi @jpblanch75

    Please help to:

    1. Collect the diagnostic file, which is collected when the issue happens, and share with us.
    2. Share the issue client's MAC address with us. As more as possible.
    3. Also, please share the configuration of other models so we can have a simple compare first.

    As I just told support....

I can't really give you a lot of information.  I can tell you what's on my 2.4ghz channel.

    GE Cync Thermostats

    Abode Security Cameras

    Treat life Smart Switches

    Tplink Kasa smart plugs

    Echelon Workout mirror

    A bunch of Govee lights

    Some other miscellaneous devices.

    On 5G I have

    Pixel 9 phones

    Windows Intel laptops

    MacBooks

    iPads

    Android tablets

    Apple TV

    Google TV

JoshAi remotes which are Android Tablet based.

On 5g when I have 802.11k/v enabled I mostly have issues with our Android devices like the Josh Ai remote and pixel phones.

Most of the time with the Josh Remote I have to either wait 30 seconds for it to re-establish the wifi connection or I have to disconnect it and reconnect it.  This happens randomly.
On 2.4 it's hard to notice because there are so many IoT devices but my abode cameras will voice out the internet connection is lost but like every 5 or 10 minutes sometimes but whenever it says that I can go right in a view them.
All I can say is I have issues when I have 802.11k/v enabled.  When I disable it I have no issues that I noticed.

When I install Access Network APs (a550) with 802.11k/v and Fast roaming as well I had zero issues with any of my devices.
    With your APs I own

    2x NWA130BE APs

    1x NWA50AX Pro

    3x NWA210AX APs

They all exhibit the same issue which tells me it's a firmware issue.
