ZyXEL VMG3927-B50A not turning on

Hello!

I have a probelm with the ZyXEL VMG3927-B50A. When I first tried to turn it on, it would restart often (it made a clicking sound). I managed to access the settings and after this the modem tried once again to turn on and it kept restarting. Now, when it is plugged in, only the 2.4ghz and 5G are lit (though dim). Is the modem dead?

it seems dead, it is recommended that you contact your ISP or retailer for assistance.

Is there ANYTHING I can do?

For example, flash the firmware etc?

You could try to flash the firmware, but you might also just have a faulty Power LED.

Looking at the LED description below from the generic VMG user guide at https://download.zyxel.com/XMG3927-B50A/user_guide/XMG3927-B50A_V5.13_5.50.pdf I think that you would not get the Blue WiFi LEDs if the device had not powered on and passed it self test.

So you might want to try to configure and use the device, and if that is ok then ask someone to replace the Power LED.
