DS-Lite and DHCP problems

I have a Zyxel GM4100-B0 as a modem and an Asus RT-AXE7800 as a router.
The setup took longer than expected but everything is working very well so far, I get my full 500 line via WiFi on the PC and on the cell phones.
The only problem I have is that I only have an IPv6 to visit the internet, so I wanted to activate DS-Lite but my Zyxel modem can't handle AFTR addresses, only IPv6 addresses? What should I enter now?

I tried to get the IP from the aftr sever but this doesn't work , so I have no idea what I should do now ?

Also I have some DHCP problems I can't solve and may be related to my problem

I think there should be an option to obtain the AFTR Adress automatic , may be your firmware does not support this .

If you dont know exactly if you have dslite or not - why dont you contact your ISP about ?

As far as I have seen there are some devices from zyxel with aftr support but my gm4100 does not , as it seems.

I downloaded the config file and searched for aftr but no success.

Maybe I should update the firmware , but I can't find it in the download section or within myzyxel

RThe GM4100 uses the opal os , so it's openwrt, which supports aftr addresses. Can I use cli commands from openwrt with the opal fork ?

I already contacted my isp support but the person on the phone was not really helpful and they don't support third party routers

Yes always the same Problems to find the firmware …

I wonder a bit - when i put my modem router in bridge mode and not routing i only can configure VLan if requested and MTU .

A router of my choice behind would do the rest and build up the Wan connection mostly over PPPoE ?

The first device is only modem for the VDSL connection itself in this config .

Yes, but depending on your needs you can simple use routing mode, config until you got a stable connection, maybe connect Lan to Home Server/Smart device hub and use Automatic/Static IP mode in your wireless router to handle your phone/laptop/IoT.

So your dsl modem is only working to pass through full speed to your WiFi router, and this router has all its recourses to handle your wireless devices
