GS1920-Switch & AirPrint only working for a minute or two

I've got a GS-1920-Switch-Infrastructure and some Zyxel Access Points attached to it. Everything works well unless Airprint with Mac or iPad/iPhone. My HP-printer is found a couple of minutes after I restart the printer (power off/power on). After a short period, the printer is not found anymore by Apple devices (tested with Mac, MacBook, iPhone, iPad) - so I can not use it to AirPrint. If I power off the printer and power on again, the printer is found for a short period of time.

Side effect: It always works with Microsoft Computers.

I found a solution I want to share with you:

    • Use Nebula cloud to go to "Configure" - "Switches" - "Advanced IGMP".
    • Disable "IGMP snooping".

After this small change, the printer is now found more than 48h. It seems IGMP-snooping is responsible for dropping the relevant AirPrint information to find the printer.

Hope this helps (it took me a while to find this) others, too.
