Zyxel SecuExtender IPSec VPN license renewal and reallocation
I had a two questions pertaining to the licenses for the IPSec VPN:
- Is the only form of renewal of licenses after expiry the process of just buying another license? If so, that is not exactly the most efficient way to distribute licenses among tens or hundreds of existing users.
- What happens when we have a user leave the company and need to reallocate the purchased license to a new machine? What is the process involved in doing this?

Yes, once a license expires, it needs to be renewed by purchasing a new one. For improved efficiency and convenience, we strongly recommend our 3-year or longer licenses. These longer-term options help reduce the frequency of renewals, allowing our customers to focus more on using the product and less on administrative tasks.
What happens when we have a user leave the company and need to reallocate the purchased license to a new machine? What is the process involved in doing this?
If you need to reallocate a license due to a user leaving the company, please raise a forum thread or submit a ticket for license reset assistance. Additionally, we support one-time reinstallation of the software to a new endpoint computer within the license period. This reinstallation option becomes available three months after the license activation.
