sharing between wifi networks

I would like to connect my neighbor's WIFI to my own WIFI network so we can share resources. Is there a way to do this versus STATION<>AP? I'm assuming this would require some form of WDS between them? My neighbor just has a comcast wifi router and I'm using a NWA110AX for equipment

Hmmm it might work with your neighbour as repeater to say your AP as root or other way round by WDS for a given VLAN SSID.

or you could just both be root and they connect to your SSID

  • ok…so she uses a comcast soho wifi router

    Hi @michaelstaylor

To maintain stable connectivity, our AP WDS connection can only be established between Zyxel APs that are in standalone mode. If your neighbor is using a non-Zyxel AP, it will not be possible to build a WDS connection between them. For more details about Zyxel mesh technologies, you may refer to this article:

You might consider other ways to achieve this connection, such as purchasing another Zyxel AP to install at your neighbor's location or using a different method.
