When a non-supported WPA3 device attempts to connect to an MLO (Multi-Link Operation) SSID that is enabled with the 6GHz band, the device will face connection issues.

Since 6 GHz networks are only supported with Enhanced Open and WPA3 encryption methods. Unsupported security options will be automatically adapted to higher security level.

MLO allows client devices to seamlessly associate across multiple bands and facilitates smooth switch between these links. When an MLO SSID is enabled with 6GHz band, the SSID security must use WPA3-related settings and through all bands.

For example, if a user applies an MLO SSID with WPA2 security to 2.4GHz, 5GHz, and 6GHz bands, the system automatically converts the security to WPA3 because the service includes the 6GHz band.

To resolve the non-supported WPA3 connection issue, separate the SSIDs to 6GHz only and 2.4GHz + 5GHz to let device connect.
