DX3301-T0 and Password Autofill

When I try to access the routers login page using password autofill, the password entered gets replaced by a single character - possibly the last character of the password.

If copy and paste the password from my password manager it works fine.

I’ve tried on PC with Firefox, Edge and using a third party password manager, and on iOS using Apple’s Passwords app and a third party extension.

Any idea why this is happening.

Hardware: DX3301-T0

maybe delete the autofill input and add again to see if there is issue. perhapse using incognito will not have autofill, but it always works for me.

This seems to be a well known issue that affects many Zyxel routers but hasn't been acknowledged by Zyxel themselves. It affects all popular browsers and is nothing to do with browser caching. A simple workaround is to add another admin user (if supported) with an easy to remember password so that you don't have to rely on the browser autofill feature. Alternatively Zyxel could fix the issue to benefit everyone - now that sounds like a good idea!
