Zyxel DX 3301-T0 BRIDGE MODE

Hello All,

I am looking for some help in connecting my own router to Glide Fibre internet in the United Kingdom. My ISP has provided me with the Zyxel DX 3301-T0 router. The WiFI on the this router is not very good so I have purchased a tp-link Archer VX1800v Dual band WiFi 6 VDSl/ADSL Modem Router.

I believe I have to set the Zyxel router to bridge mode then connect the tp-link Archer VX1800v router to the Zyxel router to gain access to the internet. Is this correct? If so how to I set the Zyxel DX 3301-T0 to bridge mode? And how do I connet the tp-link router to the internet? Any help will be greatly appreciated sorry I am not tech savvy at all.

I think when your ISP Router is connected over its WAN Port to the fiber modem , you only have to plug it out and into the combined LAN/WAN Port of your new Router and then configure .

Thank you for your help. I do not have a fibre router. I think the Zyxel router is a modem router as the fibre plugs directly into the router so I think I still need to set the Zyxel router to bridge mode

If it is VDSL then it is connected to VDSL plug of the Zycel . This would not be "fibre" .

But the new Router has VDSL Modem capacity too , so plug the VDSL copper wire into the new Router .

Leave the functioning ISP Router better as it is …
