Dead ethernet port (port 4) on ZX1930-12HP switch

Hello,

My newly installed ZX1930-12HP seems to have a dead ethernet port (port 4). It will not establish link at all, even though if I take the same patch cable and plug it into the adjacent port (port 5), link is established immediately. I pulled the full set of tech support logs, but there is nothing indicating an issue with the port

    Hi @giftculture

Thank you for reaching out and providing details on your XS1930-12HP switch issue.

To assist you further, could you please clarify the following?

    1. Have you tried to reboot your switch before?
    2. Did this symptom occur from the first time you powered on the switch, or did it start later? Additionally, when you plug into port 4, how does the port's LNK/ACT LED behave? Does it light up at all or remain off?
    3. Please send us the tech support files via private message. This will help us identify any potential issues with the switch.
    4. We’d like to perform a remote check to diagnose the issue more closely. Could you set up a remote PC connected to the switch? Please install an SSH client (such as Tera Term) on this PC, as this will allow us to access the switch. Once ready, please share the remote access details (TeamViewer or AnyDesk) with us via private message.

    Kay
