Answer:

If your USG FLEX 500H is experiencing issues with PoE after a firmware update, follow these steps:

  1. Ensure that you have performed a cold reboot by unplugging and replugging the power cord. A cold reboot is different from a simple software reboot or pressing the reboot button.
  2. Verify that the PoE Power Budget does not exceed 30 watts. The USG FLEX 500H has a total PoE power budget of 30 watts, which needs to be shared among all connected devices.
  3. If only one device is connected and it works fine, but issues arise with multiple devices, it indicates the power budget is being exceeded.

You can check by following command:

usgFlexH> cmd poe-state

For example:
