The WAX655E uses a specific antenna configuration which can be understood as follows:
- 4x4: This configuration has 4 antenna endpoints for 4 transmit and receive links, and it is used for the 5 GHz band. These endpoints are connected via N-type connectors.
- 2x2: This configuration has 2 antenna endpoints for 2 transmit and receive links, primarily for the 2.4 GHz band, also with N-type connectors.
Therefore, the top four antenna endpoints (4 N-type connectors) refer to the 5 GHz band, while the bottom two antenna endpoints (2 N-type connectors) refer to the 2.4 GHz band.
For more details, you can refer to the WAX655E Antenna Specifications on the official website. If you need to use an outdoor antenna, consider the ANT2105, which comes with an N-type plug connector suitable for the WAX655E.
