Storm Control limits the number of broadcast and/or multicast packets received by a Zyxel AP on its ports. Once the maximum number of allowable packets is reached, any additional packets are discarded. This feature helps reduce the amount of broadcast and multicast traffic in the network, improving overall network performance.
To configure Storm Control on a Zyxel AP:
- Go to Configuration > Network > Storm Control.
- Enable Storm Control and set the desired limits for broadcast and/or multicast packets.
Note:
- Not all Zyxel AP models support Storm Control.
- The maximum traffic rate can be adjusted using the CLI.
