    Hi @Philindiss ,

Thank you for your interest in the Zyxel FWA710 mobile router.

    Before purchasing, we recommend you:

    1. Check EE network coverage in Norfolk (your area) using coverage websites/apps
    2. Contact EE to verify available bands in your area and choose them for your FWA710 configuration

Once you've confirmed suitable coverage, we welcome you to experience the FWA710 and our service.

    Judy

Hi, thanks for your reply, I do receive a strong EE signal loud and clear but it was this review that concerned me .

Lacks support for B3+B3+N1 used by EE

Reviewed by Tim Higgs - 04/10/2024

This was the first FWA710 I have installed for a customer. I have been installing NR7101 for rural broadband customers for a few years. The NR7101 works well however lacks remote management. The FWA710 adds support for Nebula cloud management (although at a cost). However the FWA710 appears to lack support for B3+B3+N1 NSA-5G on EE's network which means that I am unlikely to install this product again in the future unless it can support the same 4G and 5G bands as the NR7101 does. The problem is that the customer was surveyed with the NR7101 and had 5G but now installed with the FWA710 they are on 4G. Therefore instead of 150Mbps they are seeing 60-120Mbps. The FWA710 is a downgrade from the NR7101 in terms of 5G compatibility.

The price is also far too high as the FWA710 costs just over £100 more than the NR7103. However the NR7103 couldn't be used with EE due to lack of cloud management. But then the FWA710 doesn't support B3+B3+N1 so isn't fully compatible with EE's 5G. Such a shame that the NR7101 has been discontinued and Zyxel can't get this product right!

    Hi @Philindiss ,

Thank you for sharing the review.
We've checked EE's coverage in Norfolk and found that 5G availability varies by location.

While the scenario in the review may differ from your situation (we're not sure about that review), you can try the Nebula FWA710 if you can confirm strong EE 5G signal in your area.

We're here to support you if you need any assistance.
