EX3301-T0 not allowing download to usb hard drive

Hello

I have a wireless router called zyxel ex3301-t0, to its usb port i have connected a hard drive. I can access the hard drive with no problems but when i want to directly download something from the internet onto the usb hard drive , the router doesnt allow it. Downloading the same files into the pc hard drive goes smoothly and with no problems att all, it is just that the router is blocking download to usb hard drive connected to it. Do i need to change settings or anything? Thanks for the advice

From my reading of the user guide, the EX3301-T0 cannot do what you want, see below extract.

thanks tony , same to you mate.

It would be meaningless to have hdd in usb port if it didnt. it was working before but i had to change the usb hdd because it failed and updated zyxel firmware.
