NR2102 - sim not ready / illegal

Getting commonly discussed and never resolved problem with nr2101. Spent hours debugging with firmware update and factory reset.
Sim works perfect in iPhone.
seems to be a common problem with all the postings since 2020…not cool for a 300 euro device 2 years old :-(
and support never posted a solution.
I want my money back!
