Multy M1 system broken

Suddenly (!) the mesh system doesn't work.

"Doesn't work" means WiFi clients disconnecting randomly and frequently, M1 units suddenly registering as offline (both in the app and also with red lights on the unit). Throughput very bad if any at all. I attach a screenshot of the best diagnostic I've had.

As you can see the "Far End" router test failed completely and download (& mostly upload) speeds are terrible. They're normally over 20Mb download and upload.

The app claims that a firmware update to V1.00(ABZF.6)C0 is available, and pressing the update button appears to start the process, but after a 15 or 20 seconds the display reverts to the home page and the information still reports that the same update is available.

However, the GUI interface for the primary router shows that the installed version of firmware is V1.00(ABZF.7)C0, isn't that odd?

The system has been running perfectly well for a enough time that I've forgotten how long that is (more than a year, perhaps two, I don't remember). I'm not aware of anything that could have prompted this breakdown, I am a software engineer (for a very long time now) so I'm not entirely clueless, except I have no idea what's going on here.

    Doing this seems to try to send a report as email, is that right? I hope not since I don't have email enabled on my 'phone. I have no more information than I'm showing here.
