Pairing PLA with WRE

Hello, I’m trying to install PLA5215 and WRE6602 (in repeater mode) with the aim of extending my wired internet through power line to another part of the house and create a wifi there. The PLA seems connected to Internet but I cannot make those two pair. When I press the Encrypt button in the PLA and the smart button in the WRE, the PLA will start blinking its Power LED slowly and the WRE its Smart Push LED fast for two minutes but then nothing happens. Am I doing something wrong here? They are both in the same phase (even tried putting them next to each other in an extension cord).
