Good morning, why do some clients appear as directly connected to the switch ports in the network topology, instead of to the access point?

Thank you.

    Hi @Alab2025,

In order to better help me realize what kind of problem you have encountered with your network. Please connect your wireless client to the SSID broadcasted from the AP. After that, there are three steps I want to make sure.

Please do the three steps in order and provide the screenshot of each step to me.

Step 1: After connect your wireless client to the SSID, please go to the AP’s current station and check whether the wireless client’s entry appear in the list or not.

    Path:

Please screenshot the AP’s current stations of the wireless client and provides the screenshot to me.

Step 2: After make sure that your wireless client appears in the AP’s current station, go to the client page of the AP. Make sure that the wireless client also appears in the AP’s client list, and provide the screenshot of the AP’s current wireless client to me.

    Path:

Please note that you have to show only the AP’s client list.

Step3. After make sure that the wireless client appears on the AP’s client list, go to the typology and provide the screenshot of your network typology to me.

    Path: Side-wide ~ Typology

What’s more, when you provide the screenshots, please hide the private information such as the Mac address of the device.

This would help me better understand what kind of network issue you have encountered. Thanks!

    Sincerely,

    Lynn
