If you'd like to manage your Zyxel access point (AP) locally without using the Nebula Cloud platform, you can configure the device in Standalone mode. Follow these steps to simplify management via the local interface:

Steps to Access the AP's Web Interface:

  1. Connect your computer and the Zyxel AP to the same network.
  2. Type the device's IP address into your browser. The default IP address is 192.168.1.2.
  3. Log in using the username "admin" and the default password "1234" (If you haven't changed them).

Please note that starting with WiFi 7 Band Flex APs, as well as all APs manufactured after February 2025, each device will have a unique password printed on its back label. More details can be found here: Unique Password Implementation in Zyxel Access Points.

In firmware version 7.10, a new design allows users to choose one of three modes—Standalone, Cloud, or Managed—during the initial setup after logging into the AP. More details can be found here: Link.

Using Zyxel ZON Utility for Setup:

The Zyxel One Network (ZON) Utility simplifies the process of configuring and managing your network devices. To download the latest ZON Utility, visit: ZON Utility Download Page.

More details can be found here: How to use ZON utility?.

Please note, older software like ZAC is no longer supported for the latest devices such as the NWA130BE. Ensure you're using the ZON tool for compatibility.
