NR7302 ethernet connection interupts under heavy VPN loads

Good morning.
I’m having some issues with my NR7302 Outdoor router, where when some systems on the network are using a VPN and doing large file transfers the ethernet interface gets marked as down. In all other cases, such as under other heavy loads this is not the case.
The modem is connected to a router running OPNsense, through the provided cables and PoE injector. The modem is configured in IP Passthrough mode, and is running firmware version 1.00(ACHA.4)b5_F0.
Here is an excerpt from the log on the modem:

I have tried a lot of different combinations of settings, both on the OPNsense router and the modem, to no avail. I wouldn’t consider the configuration to be particularly exotic, so I was somewhat surprised that I couldn’t find any mention of similar issues on this forum or otherwise.
I would appreciate any and all help on this. If there is any information that is missing in my post I would be more than happy to provide it.
