IES-1248-51v Default Configuration File

Hello,

I have acquired an IES-1248-51v second hand, and of course the username and password are unknown. Like a few others in the forum have discovered, in order to reset them it to factory defaults I need the default configuration file. I have searched high and low for this, however I do not see it available anywhere any longer.

Is there anyone here who can provide that file? Not really trying to upgrade the firmware or anything — it would be a bonus but really just after the factory defaults file.

Wow, IES1248 is a very old ZYXEL DSLAM, I used to own it!!!
Let me share the manual and FW file I collected to see if they can help you

Thank you so much. It is definitely getting up there in age, but still fun to play around with and learn what things were like on the other side of that DSL connection. Now to reacquire some of those ADSL2 modems I thought I would never need again…

Hello,

I have this exact same model, I suspect purchased from the same seller. The default credentials didnt work and I ended up finding this post.

I have tried to upload the firmware and ROM files, and appear to have corrupted my unit. I can still get into debug mode:

And ATSH shows:
ZyXELProduct Model : IES-1248-51V

However when I try to upload your firmware I get:

ATUR
Starting XMODEM upload (CRC mode)....C
Total 3225984 bytes received.
Wrong product firmware (-1)!!

Before I bin this thing and write it off as a failed experiment, is there something I am missing?
Greatly appreciate any assistance.

I uploaded the rom file and it now throws an exception on boot.

Hello just for the record to any one else who sees this.
These firmware and config files are not for the IES-1248-51v specifically.
