Q:

Why can't I see the IP address of the PC connected to the switch in Nebula's Clients page?

A:

Nebula switches rely on Link Layer Discovery Protocol (LLDP) to obtain client information such as the IP address and MAC address.
If the IP address is not displayed, it is typically because the LLDP information reported by the PC does not include an IP address.

In Nebula, a client’s IP address can be identified through the following methods:

  • IPv4 address detected from the client’s LLDP Management Address
  • IPv4 address detected from a Nebula-managed Access Point
  • IPv4 address detected from a Nebula-managed Security Appliance
