I have a NWA50AX PRO

Has been working great standalone, made the mistake of adding to Nebula Cloud and updating the Firmware to

V7.10(3) / 2025-06-29 07:27:38

I have now removed the device from the organisation, it rebooted back to standalone mode (Even factory reset it) and logged in with the default, but it only gives me the two tabs on the left hand side, not the 4 so I can locally configure it.

Google AI suggests this sometimes happens and I need support to upload some script files to it??

Please help

    Hi @ChipTivo,

It appears your NWA50AX PRO is exhibiting limited local configuration options after being removed from Nebula Cloud, even after a factory reset. This can occur when the device retains some cloud-managed settings or has a firmware version optimized for Nebula.

Here's a step-by-step guide to help restore full local configuration access:

    1. Verify Device Mode:

      • Log in to the AP's local web GUI.
      • Navigate to Dashboard > System Status.
      • Confirm that the Management Mode explicitly shows "Standalone". If it still indicates any cloud-related status, the removal from Nebula might not be complete.
    2. Factory Reset (Software and Hardware):

      • Perform a factory reset through the local GUI if accessible.
      • Additionally, perform a hardware factory reset by pressing and holding the reset button on the back of the device for approximately 10 seconds until the LED light blinks, then allow it to reboot. This ensures all previous configurations, including any lingering Nebula settings, are cleared.
    3. Check Firmware Version and Reapply (if necessary):

      • Although you've updated to V7.10(3), sometimes reapplying the standalone firmware can resolve configuration interface issues.
      • Download the latest standalone firmware for the NWA50AX PRO from the Zyxel support website.
      • Manually upload and apply the firmware via the local web GUI.
    4. Clear Browser Cache/Try Incognito Mode:

      • Sometimes, browser cache can interfere with displaying the correct web interface. Clear your browser's cache or try accessing the AP's GUI in an incognito/private browsing window.

If the issue persists, please provide the following information to assist with further troubleshooting:

    • A screenshot of the Dashboard > System Status page from the NWA50AX PRO's local web GUI.
    • A screenshot of the two tabs you are currently seeing on the left-hand side.
    • The exact firmware version displayed in the local GUI.
    • A diagram of your current network topology.

For a more direct investigation, you can enable Zyxel Support Access via your Nebula Control Center (even if the device is removed, this might be an option if your organization still exists). Go to Help > Support Request and enable Zyxel Support Access. Please provide your Organization and Site name. This will allow our support team to directly view your cloud environment configuration and expedite troubleshooting.
