The incoming traffic can be mapped to specific Access Category and Priority Queue for differentiated forwarding treatment.

■WMM (Auto)-Standard priority. It is default.
•Auto SSID traffic is mapped to Best Effort Category

■Gold (Voice)-Highest priority
•Gold SSID traffic is mapped to Voice Category

■Silver (Video)-Medium priority
•Silver SSID traffic is mapped to Video Category

■By assigning higher prioritylevels, clients can access wireless medium faster & experience lower latency

■The QoS behavior before no VIP QoS of SSID Advanced settings:

•If traffic is marked as Voice type (via 802.1p) by a switch, the AP maps it to the Voice Category (AC_VO) queue and prioritize for transmission.

■The QoS behavior with VIP QoS of SSID Advanced settings:

•When VIP QoS is set to Auto, AP reads the incoming packet’s QoS tag and queues the traffic based on its corresponding QoS marking

If the traffic is classified as Voice Category, it will be mapped to the Voice queue,

even when the SSID Priority is set to Auto

•When VIP QoS is set to Gold or Silver, AP queues the incoming traffic based on the configured SSID Priority rather than the original QoS tag carried in the packet.
