Please help: Searching for Firmware V1.15(ACKO.2)C0 for FWA505

Hi everyone,

I am looking for the specific firmware version V1.15(ACKO.2)C0 for my Zyxel Nebula FWA505.

There are several reports indicating that the LTE antenna handling and Band 20 performance have changed significantly starting from version V1.19.
Because of this, I am currently staying on V1.18 to maintain stability.

However, I would like to perform a downgrade test to V1.15(ACKO.2)C0, as I want to verify if this specific version offers even more consistent management for external antennas on Band 20 at my location. Since the official download portal no longer lists this legacy version, could anyone please provide the .bin file or a download link?I want to see if V1.15 can further improve my connection stability compared to V1.18.

It seems we have not received any feedback regarding performance issues with FWA505 firmware versions 1.19 or 1.60. You may upgrade your FWA505 to the latest version 1.60 and monitor the performance. Additionally, with both 1.18 and 1.60, you can log the cellular connection information and observe any differences in performance.

We do not recommend downgrading the firmware, as you would lose the improvements and bug fixes included in the latest version.

Thanks for your response. To clarify: I am strictly limited to Band 20 at my location, as no other bands are available from my ISP. This makes stable Band 20 handling critical for my setup.

I have already checked the performance on V1.60, but it resulted in a significant speed decrease (dropping from 50-60 Mbps to around 10-20 Mbps). While V1.18 is generally more stable, I am still experiencing inconsistent signal drops that appear to be related to how the firmware manages external antennas on the 800 MHz spectrum. Other hardware I've tested at this exact spot does not show these fluctuations.

I would like to verify if the V1.15(ACKO.2)C0 version—which is often cited in community discussions for its superior Band 20 stability—resolves these specific drops. I am looking for this specific legacy version for testing purposes and I am fully aware of the trade-offs regarding security and missing fixes.

Could you please provide a download link or the .bin file for V1.15(ACKO.2)C0? It would be a great help for my technical evaluation.

There is no firmware version V1.15(ACKO.2)C0 for the FWA505. The first available firmware version for this device is V1.18. Could you share the place tells you "the V1.15(ACKO.2)C0 version—which is often cited in community discussions for its superior Band 20 stability"

Since several factors can affect speed test results, so to better assist you, please follow the steps below and provide the findings:

Using both V1.18 and V1.60 firmware, ensure your FWA505 is on the same band by manually fixing it to Band 20. Use the same single end client for both tests. Before running each test, save a screenshot of the cellular information. After testing, take a screenshot of the test result.
