Why is my FWA510 router showing a red indicator light and not connecting to NCC?

If your Zyxel FWA510 router indicates a red light and cannot connect to the Nebula Control Center (NCC), follow these steps:

  1. Ensure ports 4335 and 6667 are not blocked by your firewall or Internet Service Provider (ISP). These ports are essential for NETCONF communication with NCC.
  2. Verify that your router is connected to the internet. You can check this through the device’s Web GUI by connecting your PC to the LAN port or the router's SSID.
  3. Confirm that NCC Discovery is enabled on your device. This can usually be managed in the router's settings via its Web GUI.
  4. Restart your router and check all cables. Unplug the device for 10 seconds and then reconnect it.
  5. Make sure the router is assigned to the correct site under the 'Site-wide > License & Inventory' section in NCC.
