Hi Zyxel team,

I own a retail NR7302 running firmware 1.00(ACHA.5)b1_F0, on the Deutsche Telekom 5G network (NR5G-NSA). I'm hitting a reproducible firmware bug and would like to request the newer firmware.

Problem: The unit's Ethernet port (eth0) drops completely for 1–2 seconds, several times a day, sometimes in multi-minute clusters, then recovers on its own. The 5G radio stays connected throughout (signal stats keep logging) — only the LAN link flaps, taking the whole downstream network offline for those seconds.

Log evidence (at every drop, simultaneously):

  • esmd: Interface: eth0, Status: Down → seconds later Status: Up, Speed: 1000, DuplexMode: Full
  • dnsmasq-dhcp: failed to read /etc/ethers: No such file or directory

This matches known reports („regular eth connection loss (failed to read /etc/ethers)" and „Firmware 1.00(ACHA.5)b1_F0: Internet stops after a few hours").

Secondary (IPv6): After a 5G reconnect the WAN gets a new delegated prefix, but the old prefix is not deprecated — it stays advertised as „preferred" ~1h while no longer routed, causing an IPv6 blackhole for LAN clients (address + route present, 100% packet loss) until it expires.

Already ruled out (20h continuous monitoring): LAN cabling (swapped), PoE injector, Green-Ethernet/EEE (disabled), Wi-Fi/home network (0% packet loss over 20h — only the NR7302 eth0 flaps). A reboot only helps ~2h.

Request: Please provide the V1.00(ACHA.6)b3 firmware (or newer) as a file for manual upload, which reportedly fixes these stability issues. The „Zyxel Air" app and the public download page offer no update for this unit. I can share full second-by-second logs on request.

Thanks!
