Subject: Support request - Zyxel NR7302 with Deutsche Telekom firmware (purchased on Amazon, used in Italy)
Dear Zyxel Support,
I am writing about a Zyxel NR7302 router that I purchased via Amazon and that I use in Italy.
I have found that the device is running Deutsche Telekom (Germany) branded firmware, even though the purchase was made through the regular Amazon marketplace with no indication of a carrier lock.
I would like to ask:
- Is it possible to obtain an official unbranded (unlocked/OEM) firmware version that can be freely used with any carrier and SIM, without restrictions?
- Alternatively, what is the official and safe procedure to remove the Deutsche Telekom configuration while keeping full device functionality (including eSIM support, which is currently disabled on this version)?
- Is the device covered under warranty in Italy despite the currently installed firmware?
I look forward to your reply and am happy to provide the serial number and any further product details if needed.
Best regards,
Gabriele

Hi Gabriele,
Unfortunately, the device was sold by the ISP—in this case, Deutsche Telekom—so it is not possible to change it to an unbranded firmware version or modify the default configuration.
Please contact the seller to request warranty support from Deutsche Telekom.
Best
