VoIP traffic priority with FLEXH series Firewalls

I am starting to ugprade my Nebula firewalls from USG and ATP models over to the newer USGFLEX H models. One thing I notice is that the Traffic Shaping is different.

It looks like we have DSCP options, which is great!

I am wondering if there is some guidance from the Nebula team on what is required to ensure that VoIP traffic gets the highest priority, other than setting option 46 for DSCP in the Routing section of Nebula.

Do we need to log in locally to the firewall? If so, is Zyxel planning on releasing more "Traffic Shaping" options in the Nebula control center?

    Hi @Tyler9283 ,

Regarding traffic shaping and prioritization configuration, the USG FLEX H series currently only supports configuration via the local web GUI. For more details, please refer to page 210 of the USG FLEX User Guide, section [10.3 Example: Setting the Priority of Specific Applications]:

    USG_FLEX_500H user_guide

The USG FLEX H series supports hybrid management, allowing users to manage the firewall through both the local web GUI and the Nebula Control Center (NCC). Configuration changes are synchronized bidirectionally between the two.

There are currently no plans to add more traffic shaping options to the Nebula Control Center.

If you would like the Nebula Control Center to support specific options currently available in the local web GUI, please describe your needs and use case in detail so we can provide further assistance. Additionally, please provide your current device model and firmware version.

Thank you for choosing Zyxel products and services. Have a wonderful day!
