Load balancing tag

Hi,

I noticed the load balancing tag option in the detail page of the WAP.

how can this option be utilised?
does it have anything to do with the load balancing in the AP & port settings page?

Yes, the load balancing tag works if one of AP reach to the threshold.

There are 2 places where you can modify the tag, one is click the pencil icon and the other is in the access point list page.

I'm referring to the load balancing tag, not the WAP tag.

Sorry, my bad.

You can use Load balancing tag to put many APs in the same group, for instance there are four APs, AP1 and AP2 with same tag, AP3 and AP4 (with same tag) then one of AP exceed the maximum client number and other client can only connect to the AP which has the same tag name.

it will only kick in once the load balancing limit set in the AP & port settings has been reached.

for example, if I set the limit to 100 devices, the load balancing tag will only work if one of the APs reaches 100 devices
