Hi everyone, given there is still a lack of concise documentation as to how to activate setup and utilise Ethernet backhaul I thought I’d tell you what I’ve learned so far.....
Process 1 - set up your site and nodes all as per original documentation using wireless backhaul. Ignore Ethernet backhaul and don’t plug your Ethernet wires in as this seemed to confuse my setup.
Process 2 - once setup complete and you are happy it tests well through diagnosis page then simply power off and relocate the nodes wherever you want and plug in the Ethernet connections. Reboot and voila all should be working.
Summary - i have three nodes , one which is wired through 2 switches on different floors of the villa and one that’s working wirelessly. The wired nodes definitely can’t see each other wirelessly. All tests well with good throughput.
This is just my experience and hope it helps someone else ???1
