Config WDS correctly for VMG1312-B10B (WAN by WiFi)

Good day

I have been testing many options to be able to use the VMG1312-B10B as a WIFI repeater using WDS service.

In my house I have internet connectivity with a cable modem SAGEMCOM FAST 3686. I want to connect the VMG1312 via wifi with the SAGEMCOM

to be able to extend internet access in the garden of my house.

I can not connect them via ethernet cable because I can not wire in the garden. That's why I want to link them with wifi.

I will appreciate if you can help me. Thank you.

He estado probando muchas opciones para poder utilizar el VMG1312-B10B como repetidor WIFI usando el servicio WDS.

En mi casa tengo conectividad a internet con un cablemodem SAGEMCOM FAST 3686. yo quiero conectar el VMG1312 via wifi con el SAGEMCOM

para poder extender el acceso a internet en el jardin de mi casa. 

No puedo conectarlos via cable ethernet porque no puedo cablear en el jardin. Por eso quiero vincularlos por wifi.

I have looked in the VMG1312-B10B manual available at https://fccid.io/ANATEL/00961-15-08311/Manual-VMG1312-B10B/4940CDA4-168E-48CF-B6BA-80681CFA7188/PDF dated 2013 and section 7.7 says how to use WDS.

The manual has a note in it that says:

"Note: At the time of writing, WDS is compatible with other ZyXEL APs only. Not all models
support WDS links. Check your other AP’s documentation."

I have not got one to try myself to prove that it works.

You could use a WiFi extender from Zyxel, such as WRE2205 see https://mysupport.zyxel.com/hc/en-us/articles/360003389460--Repeater-How-to-configure-the-WRE2205-v2-for-the-first-time and https://www.amazon.com/ZyXEL-Wireless-300Mbps-Extender-WRE2205/dp/B008XAZHN4 , or WRE6505 see https://support.zyxel.eu/hc/en-us/articles/360001390834-How-to-setup-a-WRE6505-as-a-Repeater-via-Wizard-Mode or one from another manufacturer.

      - I personally use TP-Link RE300 WiFi Range Extender connected to my Zyxel VMG1312-B10D.
