Is there any chance to get a static IP using the above modem/router? The provider (Wind) doesn't for this type of machine. I was told that through the Zyxel assistance it could be achieved.

You have to use a dynamic DNS.
Only your ISP (Wind) could provide you with a static IP address; but maybe this option is available for business customers only.0
