Zyxel NAS542 OFFLINE USE?

Hi is there any way to use the NAS542 offline as an external raid by usb-cable or directly connected to my PC via LAN connection (I am working offline without any router nor server)?

If PC is directly connected to NAS542, both devices IP would be 169.254.X.X, then open the browser and type http://nas542 to access it.
