OK  Originally I setup my 1TB SATA as Basic drive and starts using it the other day (with data already on it), but I want to starts setting up RAID on my NAS326. My problem is I have a smaller SATA drive 600GB not a 1TB equivalent to the primary drive to match. 1st. Will that works for RAID setup? 2nd. Can I setup RAID with the Basic drive setup to RAID? Thanks in Advance.

In order to set from basic to RAID1, your secondary disk should be larger or equivalent as your primary one.
The idea is the volume on both disk must be identical.
