I think that you might be able to have an IPSEC or PPTP based VPN work through the VMG4927-B50A.

I have not tried it but according to the user guide available at ftp://ftp.zyxel.com/VMG4927-B50A/user_guide/ you would need to enable the NAT Application Layer Gateway (ALG) to allow the VPN packets to set-up through the Network Address Translation (NAT) functionality.
