NAS540 server name field bug

NAS540 V5.21(AATB.0):

I gave server name harjus (Control Panel/ System/ Server Name) and for some reason UI responds with an complaint:

Server name contains underscores('_'). If you use IE, it will fail to login.

I fail to see where harjus has underscores. Maybe it's some odd character translation bug during name check. Has anybody seen similar complaint?

But clearly, NAS is not happy with the name I gave it: ('_')

    Do you mean the following message?


    It is just a remind to notice user that limitation while use "_", and also show in this page.
    So you can keep your name:harjus as the server name without any problem.

    Is it supposed to be a warning?
    I think that somebody should take a course in english or communication or both.
    this is very clearly a bug or a wrong message because i cannot change the name without this popup!
    Or is it just bad software nobody cares to fix....
    in that case the only thing left to say: open source the code so we can help ourselves!

    but seriously, setting a servername is a frequent use case.
    how can you dare to call this NOT a bug?

    The wording of the message is confusing"
    It should state something like "Server name must not contain ... "
    Current message can be read as there is forbidden chars in the name!
