PLEASE HELP: IP is not assigned on Wi-Fi for Zyxel WAP3205 v3 (all firmware tried)

Facts:
1. Direct Ethernet from modem to laptop - works (provides the Internet)
2. Laptop <-- Ethernet --> WAP3205 <-- Ethernet --> Modem - works
3. Laptop <-- Wi-fi --> WAP3205 <-- Ethernet --> Modem - doesn't work:
- I am able to connect to the Wi-Fi network, but
- IP address is not getting assigned
My configuration is the one specified by running Wizard in the router Admin (default settings)
PS: I need an Access Point mode.

Did you try reset default after you upgarde/downgrade firmware?0

@Edwardc, yes, I did it with every FW up/downgrade.0

do you get IP address from WAP3205 from your router?
make sure you have the correct IP address and try to ping gateway and google to see where the traffic broke.0
