How can I convince iMAC Time Machine to stop failing backups

After a period of use of NAS 326 without iMAC Time Machine, I reconnected Time Machine, which does its job but refuses to complete a backup. I don't know where to begin to fix the error.

  What is the O.S. version of iMAC device?
  
  Can you share your steps and the screenshot about the problem?
  Do you mean that completed the backup job, but got the failure message?
