Parental control not working

I have set a parental control on a single device (now tv box) to only have internet access between 0600 and 2100 on my VMG8924. However as soon as I activate this control, it blocks the internet at all times on that device. Any ideas why it’s doing this and not just restricting internet access after the specified time??
