Hello,
I have 2 ZyXel Armor G1 routers in 2 different locations connected using Open VPN with the following configuration:
- Router A:
- OpenVPN Server
- LAN IP: 10.0.0.1 / 255.255.255.0
- PC A with IP 10.0.0.111 / 255.255.255.0
- Router B:
- Open VPN Client connected to Router A's OpenVPN Server
- LAN IP: 10.0.1.1 / 255.255.255.0
- PC B with IP 10.0.1.222 / 255.255.255.0
PC B connected on router B (OpenVPN client) can ping and connect to PC A on Router A using its IP 10.0.0.111. As far as I know, I did nothing special for this to work.
However, PC A connected to router A (OpenVPN Server) cannot ping and connect to PC B on Router B using its IP 10.0.1.222!
How can I make it possible for PCs connected to Router A be able to access PCs connected to Router B?
I don't know a lot about this but it seems I can add static routes. Is it correct?
If yes, it seems Armor G1 does not allow to define static route. Is it correct?
How can I do this?
Thank you for any help0

It's not related to static routes. It's about your VPN type.
You need devices that supports site to site VPN such as USG.0 -
I did not know that! Thank you!

I agree that if you want either end to be able to establish the connection and have it stay up between two sites, then you need a site to site VPN.
Kind regards,
