Hello,
I would like to use the following cable in order to connect my Windows 11 (x64) to my USG20W-VPN via the (RJ45) console port.

To connect, I am using the software called TeraTerm with the following settings:
However, no matter what I do, I simply see the cursor blinking, nothing else. Driver has been installed by Microsoft automatically. I have also tried installing them manually given this page: VCP Drivers - FTDI (ftdichip.com)
In addition, I have used my Mac with the software called Serial, exchanged the cable, in case it would be the root cause but without any luck. What I am doing wrong?

Not sure if this cable is compatible with zyxel device. I always use the serial console in the box and USB to RS232 converter.0

Hi both. Thank you for your quick response. I am missing the box with the cable inside, unfortunately. So have to buy one. I have used also this (Cisco Konsolen kabel Serielles Kabel Rj45 auf DB9 & RS232 auf USB (2 In 1) Für Cisco Gerät 1.8m + 1M : Amazon.de: Computer & Zubehör). But it is not working either.
Can you please point me to the one which has been proved working?

We haven't try on Cisco console yet. Do you have other non Cisco RJ45 to DB console for test?0 -
You're using an USB serial cable ... in your case COM3.
What i suggest is to check, if the COM port is the right one. Perhaps the right port is something like COM30.
